Benefits of Coffered Ceiling

  • Make ceilings look higher giving the illusion of a larger, more interesting space.  They also add visual length, create focal points, and break the room into segments, depending upon the design you ultimately choose.

  • Absorb excess sound  where typically a large, flat surface defines the ceiling.  Sound absorption can help keep sound from wandering into other parts of the house making coffered ceilings ideal for spaces where we gather or entertain.

  • Cost a moderate amount but experts generally agree that you’re likely to recoup your investment when it comes time to sell.

  • They are classic and timeless.

  •  Coffered ceiling designs are offered in both traditional and modern designs.

  • LED lighting can be added for increased ambiance.

Benefits of Crown Moulding

  • Increased home value

  • Eliminating wall and ceiling irregularities

  • Covering cracks where ceiling and walls meet in old homes

  • Range of styles to fit your home and taste

  • Furnishing the walls in rooms with high ceilings

  • Numerous widths to work for any room type, shape or size

  • Providing an elegant touch to finish a room

Styles of Wainscoting

  • Raised panel:  Raised panel means that the inside panel is flush with the outside trim pieces and has a beveled edge to create the raised panel.

  • Flat Panel:  The panels are flat and installed behind the moulding and trim so it appears flat.

  • Beadboard:  Beadboard is comprised of thin rails that are connected oftentimes with tongue and groove. They make beadboard now out of many materials including MDF sheets.

  • Overlay:  Overlay is when flat panels are installed and then additional panels are installed on top of them giving the look of a raised panel. This is a combination of styles using both flat and raised.

  • Board and Batten:  Board and batten is essentially vertical boards mounted on either drywall or a flat panel used to cover seams. The vertical boards are called battens.

Benefits of Archway Trim

  • Interior archways soften the edges of your entryways and wall openings, which gives your home a more “homey” feel.

  • Archways can add value to your home.

  • Well-placed arches can give the entire space a custom feel.

  • Arches can help you achieve a very specific look with your home’s décor. Whether you’re going for Tuscan, Southwestern, Modern or Romanesque, interior archways can help you achieve the look you’re after.

  • Interior archways can be used to draw attention to a room or part of a room.

Styles of Door Casings

  • Mitered casings:  Mitered casings connect the three basic parts—side pieces and header casing—using angled (mitered) joints. Mitered casings can be simple and flat or more elaborate, including wider options that contain intricate details.

  • Butted Casings:  Butted casings combine two side casing boards with a wider head casing that rests directly on top. The wide head casing tends to draw the eye upward, making this style a great choice for homes with high ceilings. This effect can be further enhanced by using intricate patterns or details in the head casing.

Benefits of Baseboards

  • Keeps water from running under your drywall and flooring, causing mold.

  • Makes your room look finished and pristine.

  • As your house ages, your floors and walls will eventually begin to settle.  A baseboard is able to easily conceal that gap without getting in the way of the shifting pieces.

  • Keeps your walls clean and scratch free by adding an extra hard layer of protection between the painted wall surface from your vacuum or broom.

Fireplace Ideas

  • Contrasting Stacked Moulding

  • Add crown moulding for extra height

  • Pair horizontal shiplap and real wood

  • Stacked moulding with paneled facing

  • Ceiling height panels

  • Thick mantle with sophisticated columns

  • Keep it simple

  • Use clean lines

Benefits of Tongue & Groove Ceilings

  • The natural look of a wood ceiling has some imperfect textures and consistencies. This means that any substandard painting or mistakes within the installation process will not be as noticeable as they would on drywall surfaces.

Benefits of Engineered Wood Flooring

  • Less costly than solid hardwood flooring.

  • Difficult to tell apart from solid wood flooring once installed.

  • Has a real layer of wood on top (unlike laminate flooring).

  • More resistant to fluctuations in temperature and humidity than solid wood flooring.

  • A stable product so can be installed in a variety of ways to suit your property.

  • Compatible with underfloor heating.

  • Mostly found with a click fitting system, making it quick and easy to install.

  • Available in different wood species, styles, colors, finishes and plank widths.

  • The top layer (wear layer) can be sanded and re-finished if necessary.

Interior/Exterior Painting

Benefits of Painting

  • One of the simplest and least expensive ways to increase the overall value of your home.  This is true for both your interior and exterior surfaces.

  • It can help sell a home that’s on the market faster, even over asking price.

  • High-quality paint  will protect your walls from everyday wear and tear.

  •  A fresh coat of paint also keeps dust and other allergens to a minimum which will improve your home’s air quality.

  • Removes imperfections, dents, dings, and marks and can make your home look refreshed and clean.

  • A new paint color for your interior can also modernize your home.
